The internetworked binary Polling Retrieval Protocol, or ib-PRP for short, is the third subprotocol of the internetworked binary master protocol. It is the end-user counterpart to the ib-PSP, providing facilities for users to consume syndicated data by proactively polling for updates. In this sense it is somewhat similar to the Web's Post Office Protocol, although unlike POP it is completely application-agnostic.
